    Acceptance

    By creating an account, submitting a bid request, or listing your firm on Nomona, you agree to these terms.

    What Nomona is

    Nomona is a directory and matching marketplace connecting buyers seeking compliance audits with independent audit firms. We help you find and compare firms. We do not perform audits, employ auditors, or issue certifications ourselves.

    We are not a party to your engagement

    Any engagement you enter with an audit firm found through Nomona is a separate agreement directly between you and that firm. Nomona is not a party to that agreement, has no control over how the firm performs its work, and is not responsible for the firm's conduct, timeliness, quality, pricing, or the outcome of any audit.

    No guarantee of outcomes

    Nomona does not guarantee that any audit will be completed, passed, or recognized as valid by any regulator, customer, or third party. Nothing on the platform, including estimated timelines like time-to-first-quote, is a commitment. These are typical figures, not guarantees.

    Verification and badges are opinions, not warranties

    Where we mark a firm as verified, this means we checked a stated accreditation against the relevant registry and recorded a reference. It does not mean we have assessed the firm's competence, reviewed its past work, or endorsed the quality of any audit it performs. Verification status, ratings, and any other signal on Nomona reflect our opinion or aggregated user input at a point in time, not a warranty of present or future performance.

    Reviews

    Reviews are submitted by users and reflect individual opinions and experiences. We moderate reviews for policy compliance, not factual accuracy. We do not endorse or verify the content of any review and are not liable for it.

    Buyer responsibilities

    You are responsible for the accuracy of information in your bid requests, for evaluating firms you contact or receive bids from, and for conducting your own due diligence before engaging any firm. Selecting a firm through Nomona does not transfer that responsibility to us.

    Auditor obligations

    Listed firms must maintain accurate credentials, respond to bid notifications in good faith, and act as independent contractors. Firms are not employees, agents, or partners of Nomona. Misrepresentation of credentials or conduct in bad faith may result in removal from the directory.

    No professional advice

    Nothing on Nomona constitutes legal, compliance, or professional advice. Framework requirements (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, and others) are complex and jurisdiction-specific. Consult a qualified professional before relying on any information found on the platform.

    Disclaimer of warranties

    Nomona is provided as-is and as-available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the platform.

    Limitation of liability

    To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nomona is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or lost business, arising from your use of the platform or any engagement facilitated through it. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of 100 euros or the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

    Indemnification

    You agree to indemnify Nomona against claims, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the platform, your content, your engagement with a firm or buyer, or your violation of these terms.

    Content and intellectual property

    Nomona and its logo, design, and platform content are our property. Content you submit, including firm listings, bid requests, and reviews, remains yours, but you grant us a license to display it on the platform for the purpose of operating the marketplace.

    Suspension and termination

    We may suspend or remove any account or listing that violates these terms, misrepresents credentials, or misuses the platform, with or without notice.

    Changes to these terms

    We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after a change means you accept the update. Material changes will be reflected in the date above.

    Governing law

    These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any dispute will be brought before the competent court in the Netherlands, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
